The Smoothest Criminal

Biting off more than I can chew is a bad habit of mine.

Through all of the hectic nonsense that is life, it’s funny what can bring me joy. Now, all of us girls have experienced annoying and disrespectful catcalls to the point that I’ve forgotten all about a hidden, extinct art called a complement. I forgot that there are people out there who can actually complement someone casually, and with no hidden intentions. If you are one of those people, I applaud you and your sexy self.
I was walking across the parking lot at my college searching for my car, thinking ‘why do I always forget where I park?’ Unexpectedly, someone who was driving their car stopped behind me, and said “Excuse me, Miss.” Now, I have to be honest, I was expecting an annoying catcall from some pervert in their car. I didn't say anything, I just looked at him and he said “I think you’re really pretty.” To which I responded in the most ugly, awkward thanks I have ever given. I was thrown off by this guy’s genuine complement that I got flustered.
Whoever this guy is, he acted like he was straight out of a Korean Drama, and I acted like a complete idiot. This embarrassing experience has made me realize that genuine complements still exist, there is hope yet!

Five starts to you, whoever you are, that was very smooth and very well played.
